Harold Rosenberger
December 27, 1935 - April 3, 2024 (Age 88)
Harold R. “Sonny” Rosenberger, 88, formerly of Pottstown, died on April 3, 2024 at the
Southeastern Veterans Center, Spring City, PA. He was born December 27, 1935, the son of
the late Harold B. and Margaret Rosenberger. Harold was a graduate of Pottstown High
School and served for three years in the US Marine Corps. Sonny was a long-time employee of
Sears Roebuck Company in the Appliance Repair Department. Surviving are his sister, Ruth
Rhoads, his sons Rick Rosenberger(Janet), Rob Rosenberger(Beth), and his daughters Faye
Heffelfinger and Carol Haughney(David). He is also survived by his step-sons Ronald
Haines(Kathy), and Michael Haines(Lynn). Harold was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 5
step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Phyllis (the love of his life), a daughter,
Linda, and son-in-law Rodman Heffelfinger. Sonny was a die-hard Philadelphia Phillies and
Eagles sports fan. He had a place for years in the Poconos, which was his weekend “happy
place”. Harold also enjoyed playing the lottery and his weekly “scratch offs” so he could hit for
millions and share with his loved ones! To pass the time, he enjoyed playing games such as
poker with the residents, bingo, and casino days at the VA , as well as playing pinochle on his
phone and doing word searches, He was the “candy man” and insisted on both staff and family
to ”eat some candy” after visiting his room. His family wishes to thank the staff at the Veterans
Center for their outstanding care over the past two years, and to Holisticare Hospice for their
assistance over the past ten days. Funeral services are private at the convenience of the family.
