Harvey L. Weller Sr.

Harvey Leonard Weller Sr., 85, of Pottstown, PA, passed away on October 4, 2025, at his home. He was the devoted husband of the late Cathryn M. (Davenport) Weller, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage until her passing on July 9, 2019.

Born in Boyertown, PA, on September 3, 1940, Harvey was the son of the late Caleb and Edna (Clouser) Weller.

Harvey worked as a foundry molder at Grey Iron Foundry before continuing his career in janitorial work for several companies over the years.

In his free time, Harvey loved being outdoors. He could often be found hunting—both rifle and archery—and fishing whenever he got the chance. He enjoyed cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and watching classic John Wayne movies. More than anything, Harvey cherished spending time with his family, especially as “Poppop” to his grandchildren, who meant the world to him.

Harvey is lovingly remembered by his son and daughter-in-law, Harvey and Susan Lynn Weller Jr.; his son-in-law, Donald Berryman; his grandchildren, Milissa Berryman, Zachary (Alicia) Hofmanner, Katie Berryman, and Brandon Weller; and his great-grandchildren, Dylan Hofmanner, Isabella Lepore, Emma Hofmanner, and Henry Hofmanner.

In addition to his wife and parents, Harvey was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Berryman; and his siblings, Joanne Smoyer, Charles Weller Sr., Betty Dawson, Gerald Weller Sr., Ernest Weller, Robert Weller Sr., Arthur Weller, and two infant sisters, Barbara Jean and Anna Mae.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte Street, Pottstown, PA 19464. A funeral service celebrating Harvey’s life will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Highland Memorial Park, 701 Farmington Avenue, Pottstown, PA 19464.
