Hazel Perney

Hazel Perney, 95, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Dec. 8, 2025, in her home. She was born in Monessen on Jan. 7, 1930, daughter of the late Lohr and Caroline Cousins Anderson. She was a member of Crossroads Ministries of Finleyville. She enjoyed knitting, crochet and sewing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Perney; and a sister, Lorraine LaChapelle; and two sons-in-law, Alvin Peters and Joseph LaChapelle. Surviving are three daughters, Cheryl Dillon, Nancy Hayden and husband Alan, and Caroline Gajan; eight grandchildren, Heather Weaver and Jeremy, James Jenkins and Melissa, Kelly Jenkins, David Hayden and Emilie, Daniel Hayden and Courtney, Jonathan Hayden and Heather, Timothy Hayden, Janna Laatu and Robbie; and 25 great-grandchildren.
