Hazel E. Wigfield

Hazel E. Wigfield 98 of Jeannette died Friday September 9, 2022 in New Haven Court. She was born May 26, 1924 in Jeannette a daughter of the late Harry and Olive (Downing) McCurdy. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Jeannette and it's Missionary Society, Sunday School Teacher and volunteered for Meals on Wheels for 36 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband David Wigfield, a son David Wigfield, a daughter Linda Cassidy, a grandson David Wallace, a son in law Arthur Keener, a sister Carroll McCurdy and two brothers Rev. Gilbert McCurdy and William McCurdy. She is survived by her daughter Annette Keener of Stahlstown, a daughter in law Doreen Wigfield of Irwin, four grandchildren Judi King, Tracy Taylor, Aaron Wigfield and Brian Wigfield and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette with Pastor Charles Bowser officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Jeannette.
