Helen P. Yelinek, 93 of Scottdale, passed away peacefully, Sunday Evening, May 8, 2022 at home, while surrounded by her loving family.

Helen was born December 7, 1928 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Charles and Helen Hysong Pahel.

She was a graduate of Youngwood High School. All that knew her always spoke very highly of her, were drawn to her kindness, she was the true definition of beauty and grace, and a smile that lit the world around her. It’s no surprise she was “Miss May Day” of her high school class.

Helen was an entrepreneur; she alongside with her late husband Paul was the Co- Owner of the former Y&S Maintenance Inc., Yelinek and Sons, Inc., Wyndon Links Golf Course and Catcus Star Restaurant of Scottdale. Most recently, she was the Co-Owner of Elegant Events and Catering of Youngwood.

Helen was a devoted loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grand Mother and a friend to anyone that knew her. Helen was the last surviving member of her family. She is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her,

A PRIVATE Visitation and Funeral Service will be held for Helen’s family with Pastor Steven Bane of New Stanton United Church.

Committal Services and Interment will follow in Westmoreland Memorial Park, Greensburg.

A Public Celebration of Life will be held August 13, 2022 at a time and place to be announced in memory of Helen.
