Henry A. Aruffo
December 26, 1927 – February 24, 2026 (Age 98)
In his 99th year, Henry “Hank” Aruffo Jr. passed away in hospice care at Pottstown Hospital on February 24, 2026.
An honorably discharged U.S. Navy World War II veteran, he was a long-time resident of Upper Darby, where he worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. Upon his retirement, he moved to Pottstown to be closer to his beloved grandchildren, and worked part-time as a security guard at Green Lane/Perkiomen Park and Gross School Bus Service for a number of years.
Predeceased by his wife Helen and son David, he is survived by his son Henry III, daughter Carole and her husband Bart, his four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and nieces Sandra and Linda.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Chestnut Knoll: you made the last years of Henry’s life pleasant and comfortable by treating him with diligent, tender, and respectful care every day.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464, is entrusted with the arrangements.
