Hubert H. Jennings
April 18, 1930 - April 20, 2023 (Age 93)
Hubert Hamilton Jennings, Jr., 93, of Charlotte, North Carolina went home to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 20, 2023. He was born on April 18, 1930 and raised in Mount Airy, NC.
He graduated Mount Airy High School in 1948 and served in the US NAVY during the Korean War. After his service to the country, he earned a degree in accounting and was a CPA. His faith was very important to him and he lived a life as an example sharing his faith as a lay preacher/teacher, working with the Salvation Army, and the Gideons. He was an elder of Faith Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC. He was a devoted father and his friendly nature and good humor will be missed by all who knew him.
Hubert is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Elaine Jennings.
He is survived by his children, Jennifer Sandberg, Mary Perkins (Max); David Jennings (Youn), and Joanna Jennings; his grandchildren, Harrison Carriker (Erin), James Perkins, Elaine Perkins, and Hannah Sandberg.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC. A graveside service will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill, NC.
