Ira G. Trout

Ira G. "Tony" Trout Jr., 78, of Greensburg, passed away on Saturday February 26, 2022, of pneumonia in Excela Westmoreland Hospital. He was born on October 14, 1943, in Greensburg, the son of the late Ira Sr. and Alice (Maxwell) Trout. Tony was a graduate of Hempfield High School, Class of 1961 and Washington and Jefferson College. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #225, VFW Post #211 in Youngwood, Youngwood Sportsmans, American Legion Post #978 and many other clubs. He retired as a Mechanical Engineer. His work took him to 47 states, 37 countries and 4 continents. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn Trout and his daughter, Jody Lynn Wareham. Tony is survived by his sons, Mark Trout of Hunker and Michael Trout of Allison Park; his beloved grandchildren, Jeremiah (Nicole) Wareham, Zachary (Lauren) Wareham, Michael (Alexus) Trout Jr., Calista Trout, Maggie Trout, Alexis Trout, Cody Trout, Anthony Trout and Nicholas Trout; his great grandchildren, Jayci, Jody and Eden. Tony is also survived by his sister, Cynthia Smith of Pittsburgh; his niece Amanda Avampato and his dog, Chloe. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 1, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m., in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th Street, Youngwood. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
