Irene Alice Tomicek Armello, 100, of Apollo, Pa. passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Quality life Services, Apollo, Pa. She was born on Monday, November 23, 1925, in East Vandergrift, Pa. the daughter of the late Joseph and Ann Pisarchik Tomicek. She was a member of St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church in Vandergrift, Pa. Irene worked alongside her husband in their bakery, Armello’s Bakery, her whole life. She loved to cook, bake and crochet. She is survived by her children, Bonita Adams of New Kensington and Christine Emerick and her husband, Donald of New Kensington, 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Armello, sons, Martin and Frankie Armello, her sisters, Mary Pugliese and Ann Ralph and her brothers, Joe, John, Andy, Frank, Paul and Tom Tomicek, and her son-in-law, Gary Adams. At Irene’s request, all funeral services are private.
