Jacob Shaffer

Jacob Shaffer, 80, of New Stanton, PA, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Geauga Medical Center in Chardon, OH. He was born February 7, 1942 in Hempfield Township, PA. Son of the late Jacob H. Snyder and Susan (Markovich) ShafferJacob was a graduate of the former Sewickley Township High School Class of 1960. He then went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching from California University of Pennsylvania. He was a long-time member of St. Paul’s Seanor Church in New Stanton, PA. Jacob worked and retired from Greensburg School District after 40 years as a math teacher. He is preceded in death by both parents, ten brothers and loving wife Carol Ann (Golobish) Shaffer. He is survived by son – Adam Shaffer and wife Sheila Cuellar-Shaffer of Hempfield Township, PA, daughter - Paula Shaffer and fiancé Eric West of Greensburg, PA, brother – Paul Shaffer of Arona, PA and grandson – Maximilian Shaffer. Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of arrangements and services – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A private interment was held at the Westmoreland Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensburg, PA. The family asks that Memorial donations be made to the Rising to the Future Fund at PennWest, California, Pa.
