Jacqueline Wade

Jacqueline Paylor Wade, born on December 29, 1953, to the late Ethel Paylor Davis and Roscoe Richmond. On Saturday, October 5, 2024, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones.
Jacqueline was a 1972 graduate of McKeesport High School. In May of 1977 she began a long and successful career at US Steel, Irvin Plant in West Mifflin, where she served as an Assistant to the Furnace Heater Manager. After 35 years of dedicated service, she retired in 2012. It was there o the job that she met the love of her life, James O. Wade, Jr and later tied the knot on her birthday in1984.
Jacqueline’s faith was an essential part of her life. She was a long-time member of Whole Truth Church of God in Christ in Donora, PA later became a devoted member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in McKeesport, where she remained active until her health begin to fail.
Known for her creativity and skilled hands, Jacqueline loved crafting, making angel dolls, banners, Legos and working on puzzles. She directed Christmas and Resurrection Plays and took them on the road to other churches. Her joy for life extended to her love of online shopping and was always eager to share her latest finds.
Jacqueline’s love for her family was immeasurable and she leaves behind a close-knit and loving family. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, James O. Wade, Jr., daughter Dana Paylor, granddaughter J’Qua Paylor, great grandchildren Tywuan, Envy, Cartier, Bronx and Brooklyn and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Her surviving siblings include Larry (Joyce) Paylor, Anthony (Madge) Davis, James Davis, Joyce Leapart, Kristine Davis (Ben) Jones, Yvonne “Sandy” Davis Truss and Fred “Geno” Davis, Jr. She is preceded in death by her mother Ethel Paylor-Davis, dear sister Jeanette Davis, Freddie May “Penny” Davis and brothers Alfred Davis and Harvey Sanford.
Jacqueline will be remembered for her selflessness, faith and unwavering dedication to her God and family. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her and her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved. We take comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with her loved ones in heaven. Rest in peace, Jacqueline. You will be missed dearly.
Family and friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 716 Walnut Street, McKeesport, Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 18, 2024 at the Church. Eulogy will be given by Pastor Earlene Coleman, Pastor of the Church. The service will be followed by entombment in the Mon Valley Memorial Park Donora, PA.
