James C Wilson

Beloved family man, James C. Wilson, 92, of North Huntingdon, PA passed away on April 29, 2021 in Windermere, FL. He was born in Wilmerding, PA on June 26, 1928 to the late Gertrude & Samuel Wilson. Jim was preceded in death by his brothers Bob and Sam, and his sister Mary Ellen. He graduated from Penn High School and received a Business Degree from Geneva College and the University of Pittsburgh. Jim served in the United States Army from 1946 -1952 and is a veteran of the Korean War era. He was treasurer, and retired from the Union Switch & Signal in Swissvale, PA. Jim loved golf, music, traveling, reading, the Steelers, Pirates and Pitt sports. He served as a deacon and elder in the United Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in Irwin for many years, and belongs to New Hope Church. Jim’s greatest love was his family, starting with his wife of 68 years, Betty Jo Wilson (Gustafson). He is survived by his four children Judy Kerr (Clark), James Wilson (Joanna), Jacki Barnard (John) and of course his favorite child, the talented Jeff Wilson (Jennifer), along with his sister Lois Cortazzo (Pat.) He has 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and two more infants on the way. His kindness and light will be missed by those dear to him. (Can you tell who wrote this tribute?) Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to Noon Thursday, May 13, 2021, at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral ceremony will be held at Noon. Interment will be held in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
