James F. Sheppard
March 27, 1950 - September 9, 2021 (Age 71)
James Francis Sheppard, 71 of Zanesville passed away on Thursday September 9, 2021 at Genesis Hospital.
He was born in Zanesville on March 27, 1950 to the late Francis and Anne Milligan Sheppard. Jim retired after 40 years of dedicated service to Pepsi. Jim was a member of V.F.W. Post 1058, and enjoyed bowling, golf, and watching his Ohio Sports teams especially The Buckeyes. Jim served our country and protected our freedom in The United States Army in Vietnam.
He is survived by his loving wife Theresa Cornelius Sheppard, a son Shaun Sheppard, a daughter Brittney (Cameron) Ritenour, three brothers: Paul (Martha) Sheppard, David (Peggy) Sheppard, Jon (Cindy) Sheppard two sisters: Joy Schaeffer and Judy Gadd, two grandchildren: Kaia and Aiden Sheppard, and his mother in law Wilma Cornelius.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his father in law Allen Cornelius and two brothers in laws: Dave Schaeffer and Del Gadd.

Calling hours will be Monday September 13 from 2-4 and 6-9pm at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11am in The Snouffer Chapel with his brother in law Allen Cornelius officiating. Burial with full military honors by V.F.W. Post 1058 and American Legion post 29 will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
