James Paul Tyndall

May 15, 1935 - October 22, 2024 (Age 89)

James Paul Tyndall, age 89, of Midland, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

James was born on May 15, 1935, in Lumberton, North Carolina, to the late Vernon and Hazel Tyndall. After graduating Lumberton High School, James joined the US Army and received the rank of Corporal. He later attended from Wake Forest University.

James married the love of his life, Regina, and together they had Lynn, Mary Catherine, Jimmy, Steven, and Alan. He was very active in his children's lives and loved spending time with his family. He was overjoyed when he became a grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church for over 61 years and served as the treasurer for over 45 years. He lived a very faithful life and was active in his church community. James was friendly and kind to anybody he spoke with. He was highly intelligent and was known for his storytelling. He treasured a good meal, especially if it was BBQ or a hot dog. James' kind and unique spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his brother, Terry Tyndall and daughter, Mary Catherine Tyndall. He is survived by his children, Lynn (Norman) Harrison, Jimmy (Christy) Tyndall, Steven (Rhonda) Tyndall and Alan (Carol) Tyndall; his grandchildren, Krystal (John) Fralic, Madison Tyndall, Casey Tyndall, and Christopher Harrison; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and sisters, Ann Pait and Lana Tyndall.

A visitation for James will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 8947 Albemarle Rd, Charlotte, NC 28227. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 25, 2024 at 2:00 PM, 8947 Albemarle Rd, Charlotte, NC 28227. Burial will follow immediately after service at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227.

Donations in James' honor can be made to Hospice of Cabarrus County and Midland Volunteer Fire Department.
