Jane Ellen Eppley
April 19, 1948 - October 21, 2024 (Age 76)
Jane Ellen Eppley, 76, of Zanesville, died at 3:23 P.M. on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Genesis Hospital. She was born April 19, 1948, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Leonard and Leola (Butler) Snode. Jane worked as an LPN for Good Samaritan Hospital and retired from the Muskingum County Home. She went on to volunteer her time at Willow Haven Nursing Home. Jane lived a life of service, she was always a caregiver, her entire life she put the needs of others above her own, always helping someone out or giving her friends a ride in her “Special Taxi Cab”. When Jane wasn’t helping others she loved to roller skate and listen to Johnny Mathis.
She is survived by her children, a daughter, Shannon (Todd) McCullough; a son, Shane Eppley; her life partner of thirty-three years, Bud Dobbins; five grandsons, Evan, Orion, Joshua, Aiden, and Connor; stepchildren, Michelle (Rich Lang) Dobbins and Keith (Marti) Dobbins; her closest friend, like a sister, Carol “Sue” Mix; and a host of dearly loved, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, William “Bill” Snode and Dale McCoid.
Friends and family may call from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, and one hour prior to service at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, with Pastor Dick Newlon officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
