Janet Jennings

Janet “Jan” B. (Hertzog) Jennings, age 90, of Greensburg, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024. She was born November 19, 1933 in North Huntingdon, a daughter of the late Samuel and Josephine (Haveronek) Hertzog. She was a past member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Irwin where she taught Sunday school classes and was a former vice president of the Hempfield Garden Club. She worked as a secretary at Franklin Page in Irwin and also worked at the Davis Supermarket in Hempfield. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 52 years Edward R. Jennings; daughter Becky Jo Schram; brother Judson and Jack Hertzog; and sister Jo An Tromm. She is survived by her son Bruce (Kimberly) Jennings on Irwin; son-in-law Tim Schram of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren Ashley (Brian) Dilley, Victoria Jennings, Rachel (Tyler) Gavel and Amber Jennings; great grandchildren Charlie and Claire; brother Joseph (Peggie) Hertzog of North Huntingdon; and sister Jane Goga of Point Blank, Texas. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. Everyone will gather at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday for a funeral service. Interment will follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park in North Huntingdon Township.
