Janet Ruth Heagy
January 15, 1928 - August 26, 2024 (Age 96)
Janet Ruth Heagy, 96, of Leola, PA, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Missimer, Sr., and Mary Catherine Krauskop.
Janet graduated in 1945 from J.P. McCaskey High School in Lancaster. After school, she worked at Bash Jewelers in Lancaster. Janet married her late husband, Carl L. Heagy, Sr. in 1946. Janet was the loving mother of her two children.
Janet is survived by her two children, Barbara A. Coxey; and Carl L. Heagy, Jr.; as well as her three grandchildren, Corey, Eric, and Veronica.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. Heagy, Sr. to whom she shared 51 years of marriage; and her brother Jacob M. Missimer, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Graveside Service at Riverview Burial Park, 1100 S Duke St, Lancaster, PA 17603, on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 10:30 a.m.
