Jean Donnelly Cooke, 91, of Jeannette, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022, in the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born December 3, 1930, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Harry and Bess Mathias Donnelly. Prior to her retirement Jean taught dancing for over 70 years, and was the owner/operator of the Jean Cooke Dance Studio in Jeannette for the last 60 years. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church Jeannette; was an avid card player and enjoyed the game of Bridge.
In addition to her parents Jean was predeceased by her husband Thomas A. Cooke in 2003; a granddaughter Kristen Jean Warner; a brother H. George “Buck” Donnelly; and a sister Alice Artuhevich.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeanne Cooke-Stafford and husband Robert, of Greensburg, and Mary Jane Warner and husband David of Jeannette; grandchildren, Tommy Warner and wife Carly, and Bobby and Johnny Stafford; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Monday in the John V. Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 228 North 2nd St. Jeannette. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00am Tuesday in the Ascension Church with Fr. Job Foote as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland Co. Memorial Park Hempfield Twp.
