Jean M. Richardson

Jean McNinch Richardson, 92, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025.
Born on May 26, 1933, in Chester County, South Carolina, Jean was the daughter of the late Thomas Charlie McNinch and Mary Louise Lipford McNinch. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Richardson, and six siblings.
Jean is survived by her two daughters, Hope Richardson Robbins (Harry) of Edgemoor, SC, and Lori Richardson Hodge (Bruce) of Rock Hill, SC. She was a devoted grandmother to Will Robbins (Josie) of Rock Hill, SC, John Robbins (Victoria) of Conway, SC, and Stuart Hodge (Andrea) of Madison, WI. She also leaves behind her cherished great-granddaughter, Scarlotte Robbins; a special niece, Georgia Mueller of Lake Lure, NC; and several other beloved nieces and nephews.
Jean retired from LabCorp after more than 30 years of dedicated service. She was a longtime member of Park Baptist Church, where she joyfully served as a Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir. More recently, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Rock Hill.
Jean found great joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved working in her garden, solving puzzle books, and was a passionate sports fan—always cheering on the Atlanta Braves and the South Carolina Gamecocks.
She will be remembered for her steadfast faith, gentle spirit, and deep love for her family.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC. A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 10, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel.
