Jean R. Schmocker
August 21, 1927 - June 10, 2023 (Age 95)
Jean Ruth (Strunk) Schmocker, 95, of Boyertown, PA, passed away on June 10, 2023, at Chestnut Knoll. She was the wife of the late A. Daniel Schmocker, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage until he passed in 1999.
Born in Pottstown, PA, on August 21, 1927, Jean was the daughter of the late Leonard and Helen (Geisler) Strunk.
Jean loved the beach and enjoyed traveling all over the country with Dan and friends. Jean loved to crochet, play cards and games, and participate in activities with friends and family. Jean was a devoted member of various churches over the years. Jean and Dan moved to Myrtle Beach after Dan retired. For the last eight years, she was a resident at Chestnut Knoll in Boyertown, PA, in the assisted living facility. Jean enjoyed the facility, made many friends, and was very active in their numerous events and activities.
Jean is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Gail (& Dean) Fronheiser, Lynn (& Larry) Zdilla, Anita (& Lois Dietrich) Wade, Diane (& John) Palmquist, and Sandra (& Dave Gum) Schmocker; her grandchildren, Luke, Kate, Michael, Daniel, Scot, Eric, Kyle, Frank, and Clayton; and many great-grandchildren. Jean was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to know her.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464, will be handling the arrangements.
