October 19, 1958 - December 1, 2024 (Age 66)

Jeanne Marie (Snyder) Hamilton, 66, of Wiley Ford, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at her home.

Born October 19, 1958, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Joseph R. and Sarah Elizabeth (Burkhart) Snyder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Janice Snyder; her father-in-law, David Hamilton and her brothers-in-law, “Tim” Hamilton and Donnie Grabenstein.

Jeanne was a 1976 graduate of Ridgeley High School, which was the last graduating class. She worked as a Unit Secretary at Sacred Heart Hospital and later at UPMC-Western MD.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, especially her granddaughter, Geneva. She enjoyed camping and cooking and spending time on the river. She also enjoyed family vacations in Myrtle Beach. She attended Sts. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church.

Jeanne was the “life of the party”. She had many friends. She didn’t “hold back any punches”. She was loved and will be missed by her family and friends.

Jeanne is survived by her loving husband, David “Bob” R. Hamilton, Jr.; children, Megan McMillan (David), Brandon Hamilton, and Trenton Hamilton (Hayli); grandsons, Garret Hamilton and David Blanco (Nia); granddaughter Geneva McMillan; sister, Carolyn Grabenstein; brother, Raymond (Debbie) Snyder; mother-in-law Margie Hamilton; sister-in-law, Missy Graziano (Rocco); as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland on Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Daniel Price officiating.

Pallbearers will be her family members, Trenton Hamilton, Garret Hamilton, David Blanco, David McMillan, Matt Grabenstein and Travis Snyder.

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens
