Jeffrey M. Gaskell

September 12, 1966 – August 11, 2026 (Age 59)

Of North Versailles, age 59, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, following a courageous four-year fight with cancer.

Beloved father of Zachary H. (Rebecca) Gaskell of McKeesport.

Loving son of Jane (Michael) Gaskell Mikulich of Murrysville.

Adored stepbrother of Michael Mikulich, Kristen (Jonathan) Cohen, and the late Nada Grubbs.

Also survived by nieces, Sasha and Raquel, along with many lifelong friends and coworkers.

Jeff was born and raised in North Versailles and was a graduate of East Allegheny High School. A meaningful part of Jeff’s life was his work providing aid to individuals with disabilities at Gene Cook Supports, having been employed with the company for over 10 years. He understood the importance of treating others with compassion and humanity, and he approached his work with a sense of purpose that made a real difference. He was a dedicated Notre Dame sports fan and treasured his annual trip to South Bend to take in a football game. Jeff was also a talented cook and collector of sports memorabilia. He enjoyed the thrill of sports betting and taking trips to the casino.

Above all, Jeff will be remembered for the love he gave, the kindness he showed, and the laughter he shared. He had a way of making others feel at ease, and his funny nature brought smiles to many faces.

Friends are welcome on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350, where a Blessing Service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m.

Jeff will be laid to rest in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jeff’s family.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the Hillman Cancer Center in North Huntingdon and Bridges Hospice for the care they provided. Additionally, they would like to extend their appreciation to his employer, Gene Cook, for the kindness and generosity over the past few years.
