Jerry C. Eckman
September 15, 1940 - November 4, 2025 (Age 85)
Jerry Carl Eckman, 85, of Lancaster, PA passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, at Newport Meadows of Christiana. Born in West Cocalico Township, he was the son of the late Jay and Barbara (Wasserlein) Eckman. Jerry was the loving husband of Diane (Shatto) Eckman.
A veteran, Jerry served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. After 32 years, he retired from Tyson Foods. Jerry became self-employed as a handyman. He was a hardworking man and enjoyed his jobs. He was also an avid outdoorsman, liked fishing and hunting, yardwork and planting flowers.
In addition to his wife, Diane, Jerry is survived by a daughter, Michelle Pierce, wife of David; two sons: Michael Eckman and Keith Eckman, husband of Linda; a stepson, Mark; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; three siblings: Barbara Bollinger, Bill Eckman and Jay Eckman.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: George, Charles and John.
A Viewing will take place from 10-11 AM on Monday, November 10, 2025 with a Funeral Service to begin at 11 AM at the Charles F. Snyder, III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17042. Jerry will be laid to rest at Conestoga Memorial Park with Military Honors rendered. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jerry’s memory may be made to Hospice & Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17601.
