Of North Braddock, age 68, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 21, 2021.
Beloved husband of Doris (Trifanoff) Stephenson for 46 years.
Dear father of Casie Stephenson of North Braddock and Tammi (Daniel) Cavanaugh of Monroeville.
Brother of the late Peggy Ann (surviving spouse, Michael) Montedoro and the late Donald (surviving spouse, Lorraine) Stephenson.
Jerry is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Jerry was a member of the last class of North Braddock Scott High School in 1971. In May, Jerry concluded a 45-year work career while employed with private contractors at the USSteel Edgar Thomson Plant. In the 1970’s Jerry was a volunteer member of The Youth Squad, a peace-keeping group in North Braddock and Braddock. He had been a social member of the former East Pittsburgh V.F.W. and currently was a social member of the Wilkins Twp. VFW and the Sokol Hall in North Braddock. Jerry enjoyed dancing, swimming in his pool, rooting for all Pittsburgh sports teams and taking care of his pet dog, Roxi.
Friends are welcome on Thursday from 6-8pm and on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Avenue at Cable Avenue, East Pittsburgh (412-824-8800) where a Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Jerry will be laid to rest in Penn Lincoln Cemetery.
