Jerry D. Miller, 84, of Frazeysburg, died Monday night, August 12, 2024, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born June 8, 1940, in Robinson, Illinois, he was a son of the late Orville L. & Faye (Shidler) Miller and graduated in 1958 from Robinson High School. After high school, Jerry proudly served in the Marine Corp. Reserve. He worked for Lucent Technologies and drove buses for Tri-Valley Schools. Jerry enjoyed classic cars, cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes, fixing things around the house and going out to eat. When Jerry went out to eat, it wasn’t just about the food, it was about socializing and making new friends. He considered the staff at Denny’s, Elliot’s Wood Fired Kitchen & Tap, Massie’s Pizza, Big Apple Café, to be his favorite places to eat, but he also called them his friends. What Jerry loved the most was his family, especially his grandchildren. You could always find him cheering on his grandchildren at various sporting activities.
Surviving is his wife, Sharon (Chicwak) Miller, whom he married February 21, 1965; a son, David Miller of Heath; two daughters, Diana (Bob) Kozlowski of Hanover and Kim (David) Clark of Hershey, PA; seven grandchildren, Luke (Haleigh) Kozlowski, Colin Kozlowski, Benjamin Kozlowski, Lauren Clark, Susan (Ryan) Roethlein, Stephanie (Steve) Baldino, and Joe Clark; five great grandchildren; a brother, Don (Jane) Miller; a sister, Judy Messer and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by an infant daughter, Susan Miller; a brother, Larry Miller and a sister, Betty Baker.
