Joe Ann Givens Dohm, 91, of Fort Mill, SC, formerly of Charleston, WV, died on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
Joe Ann was a graduate of Charleston High School and worked in a management position at C&P Telephone Company. After retiring from C&P, she moved to South Carolina and did the accounting for CWD Construction, Inc. until her death. Joe Ann was a member of Gold Hill Road church of Christ, Fort Mill, SC, and a former member of Kanawha City church of Christ, Charleston, WV.
Preceding her in death, her parents, James R and Edna Jane Givens, sisters, Betty Rae Evans and Violet Patricia Lanning, and brother, stillborn Jerry Ralph Givens.
Surviving family, husband, Robert I. Dohm, Jr., son, Charles W. Dohm (Sonia) of Lake Wylie, SC, daughter, Theresa Lynn Patrick of Williamsburg, VA, sister, Janice Rogers of Salisbury, NC, grandchildren, Casey Dohm ( Erin ) of Lake Wylie, SC, Derrick Dohm of Charlotte, NC, Samuel Patrick (Lauren} of Polk City, FL, Katherine Moore (Tyler) of Toano, VA, Elizabeth Hudson (Nathan) of Moncks Corner, SC, Anna Claire Patrick of Moncks Corner, SC, and seven great-grandchildren.
Joe Ann was a precious, loving and faithful servant of God all of her life. Her final quotes of scripture just prior to death were Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” and Philippians 4:7 “and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
There will be a celebration of life on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 10 AM at Church of Christ at Gold Hill Road, 1055 Gold Hill Road, Fort Mill, SC, 29708.
