Joanne Pacienza

Joanne Pacienza of Monroeville, age 79, died on Friday, June 30, 2023, peacefully with her family by her side. She is now resting in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony “Tony” Pacienza of 40 cherished years; and her parents Lucille (Payne) and Joseph Cavrak.

Joanne is survived by her brothers Lawrence (Cookie) Cavrak and Dennis (Sheila) Cavrak; her sister Janice (Derrick) Duncan . She was the stepmother of Anthony (Cheryl) Pacienza, Dr. Peter (Christi) Pacienza and the late David Pacienza.

She is also survived by four step granddaughters, a step great-granddaughter, three nephews, a niece, and four great nephews and a great niece.

Joanne is a 1961 graduate of Braddock High School. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for Westinghouse for over 30 years. Joanne was a wonderful person with a big heart. She loved to do crafts, Christian ballet dancing, and reading Christian books.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful staff at Spring Hill Nursing Home where Joanne was given the best care ever.

There will be no visitation per her request. Joanne will be laid to rest privately at Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
