Joanne Repp

Joanne Gertrude (Greenawalt) Repp, 94, of Latrobe, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg.

Born October 14, 1931, in North Bessemer, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence E. “Bucky” Greenawalt Sr. and Savilla (Thompson) Greenawalt.

Joanne was a devoted member of Independent Baptist Church in Blairsville. At the former Latrobe Christian Academy, she held positions of supervisor and monitor. Joanne had also once been employed at the Hello Shop in the Latrobe Route 30 Plaza. She was passionate about music, teaching herself to play the piano at the age of 16. Pursuing that passion, Joanne became the Church pianist for over 25 years. She also belonged to the Latrobe Community Chorus. She will be remembered for her infectious smile and incredible baking skills. But most of all when people think of Joanne, they will recall that she was the most wonderful mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene E. Repp; a daughter-in-law, Sherwyn Repp; one brother, Clarence E. Greenawalt Jr., and his wife, Anita; and one sister, Beverly Miller.

Joanne is survived by one son, Timothy E. Repp, of Monongahela; two daughters, Elaine B. Marco of Derry and Cynthia J. Flowers and her husband, Carl, of Derry; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Vincent Miller, of Etna, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received from 10 to 11:30 AM Monday, May 18, 2026, at Independent Baptist Church, Blairsville, where a funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM with Pastor Rob Ingmire officiating. Private entombment will be at Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Independent Baptist Church, 123 Bridge Street, Blairsville, PA 15717.
