Joanne Smith

Joanne (Montecupo) Smith, age 71, of Jeannette formerly of Herminie died on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 in the Rehabilitation Nursing Center in Greensburg. She was born December 23, 1949 in Greensburg, the daughter of the late Loretto and Josephine (Ripani) Montecupo. Joanne retired as a Lead Dietary Aide for Jeannette Hospital. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters Diane Teaman and Donna Montecupo. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Daniel J. “Jack” Smith Sr.; children; Kelly Moorhead and her husband Matthew, of West Newton, Daniel J. Smith Jr., of Kennedy Twp., Stefanie Belville and her husband Christopher, of Jeannette; grandchildren Jon, Madison and Jack; sister Deborah Minoski, of North Huntingdon; Joanne is also survived by nieces and nephews. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to dinner with family and friends, especially her grandchildren who she adored. Friends will be received 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ott Funeral Home Inc 805 Pennsylvania Avenue Irwin. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. Please note all CDC guidelines will followed.
