John Edward Tracy Sr.

John Edward Tracy, Sr., 62, of Berkeley Springs, WV, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
Born March 4, 1962, in Cumberland, MD, Mr. Tracy was the son of the late Lawrence T. Tracy and Janet G. (Watts) Tracy. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Otis C. and Mary P. Watts; and his paternal grandparents: Frank C. and Dorothy Tracy; as well as his beloved dogs: Schatzie, and Bandit.
John was a member of the Boy Scouts of America where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He volunteered at the Cresaptown V.F.D., was formerly employed as a fire fighter with the city of Cumberland, and was a U.S. Army Veteran. John was also a tattoo artist, having apprenticed under Jack Witt at California Tattoo Co. in Savannah, GA. He was also a former member of ABATE of Western Maryland.
John is survived by his children: John E. Tracy, Jr, Brandi Tracy, David Tracy, and Misty Tracy; his grandson: Aysa, and one on the way; his sisters: Larnet Lancaster and husband, Jack; Rebecca Williams and husband, David; Sara Kerr and husband, Jeff; and Jennifer Walker and husband, Will; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Sunday, September 29, 2024, from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, September 30, 2024, at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Mike Calhoun officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
