John F. Sarp

John F. Sarp, 74, of Southwest Greensburg, died Monday, April 10, 2023, at Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg. He was born March 15, 1949, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Donald R. and Patricia G. (Dent) Sarp. He was an Army veteran. Prior to retirement he had been a certified public accountant with Sarp and Company, CPA. He attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Greensburg. John was passionate about every hobby he started, and especially enjoyed music and playing the guitar. He also enjoyed traveling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Zanti; father-in-law, Norman Sheridan; two brothers-in-law, David and Scott Sheridan; and niece, Jane Conrad. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Beverly C. (Sheridan) Sarp; three sisters, Jo Conrad, Melisa Killian (Anthony), and Tracey Lorenzi (Chester); mother-in-law, Donna J. Sheridan; two brothers-in-law, Frank Zanti and Gary Sheridan (Coreen); sister-in-law, Dorothy Sheridan; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and many special friends including Pete Wast, Jr. Friends will be received from 3 to 6 PM Sunday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Monday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 501 Fairfield Dr., Greensburg, PA 15601 with the Rev. Paul M. Gruesu officiating. Please go directly to the church. Private interment will take place in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or the Southwest Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department, 401 Guthrie St., Greensburg, PA 15601.
