John O. Whirlow

John Ottis Whirlow, 88, of Greensburg, died Monday, June 2, 2025, at IHS Latrobe Hospital. He was born January 6, 1937, in Washington DC, son of the late Daniel O. and Etta Beach Whirlow. Despite his physical limitations, Johnny always had a big smile on his face, a pure heart, and kind words. He enjoyed singing hymns, Christmas carols, and all types of music. He was an avid Steelers fan and proudly wore the black and gold. His sweet spirit will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. He had many friends at Oak Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, where he resided for over 20 years, and everyone knew Johnny. The family wishes to thank the staff for the wonderful care Johnny received. He is survived by several cousins. There will be no public visitation or service. Private interment will be in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
