John Weeter

John H. Weeter, 78, of Greensburg, died Saturday, March 9, 2024. He was born in Sharon, a son of the late John and Barbara Weeter. The beloved husband of 55 years to Mary (Chernisky) Weeter and treasured father of John H. Weeter, III (Jennifer); a proud grandfather of Emma and Seth Weeter. Brother of Thomas Weeter, of Hummelstown, Juliana Boles (Allen), of Greenville, and Victoria Weeter (Jeff Mathews), of the G.D. of Luxembourg. He is also survived by many nieces and one nephew. John was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Kovacs, and a nephew. John graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1963. He spent four years in the United States Army as a Seargeant E5 and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a general manager of Guttman Oil Company when he retired. John loved riding his motorcycle and raced motorcycles in his younger years. He loved fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. He will be missed dearly. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. John M. Smaligo officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Westmoreland County Food Bank, 100 Devonshire Drive, Delmont, PA 15626.
