John Wesley Howard

John Wesley Howard passed away January 4, 2024 at 4:16 am at the age of 65 at Novant Presbyterian

Hospital in Charlotte.

Wes was born January 27, 1958 in Lumberton , North Carolina.

Wes is preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and William Howard Sr. He is survived by his children

Kristy Howard and Wesley Howard Jr. (Dani); his two brothers, William Howard III (Manette) and Brian

Howard (Jennifer); his three grandchildren Zoey, Max and Briggs; his niece and nephew, Caroline and

Ethan; and many cousins who were considered more than cousins.

He was raised in Stallings and was the middle of three boys. He spent most of his career as a master

plumber and he loved listening to Conway Twitty, Merle Haggard and most any old country or southern

rock music. He was an avid Dale Earnhardt Sr fan and loved watching NASCAR, with the highlight being

the day that Earnhardt finally won the Daytona 500. Wes lived a simple life and loved his baseball caps

and flannel shirts. He was a friend to anyone that met him and will be remembered for his wonderful

singing voice, his laugh and sense of humor.

Graveside services will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024, at 1:00 pm.
