John Wilson

John D. Wilson, 52, of Greensburg and Bear Rocks, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2025 from complications related to quadriplegia. He was born Oct. 28, 1972 to Robert and Judy Wilson of Greensburg. John was a 1991 graduate of Greater Latrobe High School and earned an associate degree in business management, and worked 20 years at Westmoreland County in the Dept. of Weights and Measures before retiring. John had a great circle of friends and much love for his family and fiancée. Along with his parents, he is survived by his fiancée, Therese Simpson. John also leaves behind a brother, Jeff Wilson, (Karen) and a sister, Shari McHenry and her husband, John. John is survived by nieces, Haley Wilson, Amy Wilson, Corey Mc Henry and nephews, John McHenry, Parker Boyce, and Colson Boyce, all with whom he had a special bond. John also leaves behind an uncle, aunts and cousins. In addition, Therese's sons Matt and Luke Simpson survive him. John was predeceased by his sister Chris Ann and grandparents, Adelson and Viola Wilson and John and Cora Taylor, John was a former member of Charter Oak Church. A private visitation and service was held for the family at SLATER-REGA FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES 730 W. Main Street Mt. Pleasant. Entombment took place at Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
