Jon Cavet
August 20, 1944 - September 25, 2025 (Age 81)
Jon Cavet, 81, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on September 25, 2025. He was member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
Known affectionately as the "Life of the Party," Jon had a larger-than-life personality and a warmth that left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He had a deep love for soccer and wrestling and found great joy in spending time with his family. One of his greatest sources of pride and happiness was helping to raise his great-granddaughter, Danika, who lovingly bossed him around--a role he embraced with a smile.
Jon also took great pride in his work as a butcher, a craft he truly loved. Whether behind the counter or around the kitchen table, he brought people together with his humor, stories, and generous spirit.
He is survived by his daughter, Doina "Diane" Cavet; his granddaughter, Daniela Varnell, wife of Timothy; and his two cherished great-grand-daughters, Danika Gilmer and Clara Varnell. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Juliana Cavet, who passed away in 2019.
Jon's legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty lives on through his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
