Jose Tunon

Jose Tunon, 62, of Donora, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Jefferson Hospital.
Born in New Eagle on April 19, 1963, he was a son of the late Emanuel and Mary Artimez Tunon. He worked as a mechanic for 29 years for the Air National Guard, and 11 years for Canon-McMillan High School.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Jose loved spending time at his cabin and enjoyed vacationing with his family and going on cruises with his wife. He was a phenomenal cook and looked forward to cooking holiday dinners and breakfast for his wife every Saturday morning. He was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, and family man.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 39 years, Angela (Cialone) Tunon; his three children, Emanuel Jose, Miguel Carlos, and Zoe Rose Tunon; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second Street Extension, Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, (724) 379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026. A service will take place in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, with Deacon Alex Poroda officiating.
Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
