Joseph A. Marturano

Joseph A. Marturano, 76, of Jeannette, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021, in the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born June 30, 1945, in Brooklyn NY., a son of the late Anthony and Yolanda Zagami Marturano. Joe had taught himself in trading stocks by when he was hired on Wall Street as a mail runner. He was then promoted as a partner in a stock brokerage firm. In his later years he moved to North Huntingdon, Pa. to be closer to his family, at which time he worked part-time at the Giant Eagle in North Huntingdon.
Joe loved life and was very active. He played many years of tennis, bowling, and enjoyed a lot of ballroom dancing, even competing. He had a love for planting trees all of his adult life.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of only 4 years, Linda Ranella Marturano; three children, Julian Marturano and wife Bonnie of Irwin, Renee Marturano of Huntingdon, WV., and Bernadette Sherman and husband Jon of Harrison City; two stepsons, Michael Ranella and wife Jessica, and Steven Ranella and wife Elizabeth, all of Pittsburgh; his blessed grandchildren, Julia and Sophia Marturano, Robbie, Michael, and Kristina Heins; Kiana Inoue, and Vivienne Ranella.
Friends will be received 4 to 7pm Sunday in the John V. Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 228 North 2nd St. Jeannette. Parting prayers will take place 12:45pm Monday at the funeral home followed by a funeral mass at 1:30pm in the Our Lady of Grace Church in Greensburg with Fr. Daniel Blout as celebrant.
