Joseph Brian Shaffer

Cumberland, MD – Joseph “Joe” Brian Shaffer, 61, of Cumberland, MD, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Devlin Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born February 23, 1963, Joe was the son of the late Mary Jane (LaRue) Shaffer and John “Jack” Shaffer.
Joe worked in construction his whole life doing roofing, concrete work, drywall, and carpet. He was a member of the Cumberland Democrat Club, where he was on the skill pool team. At home, he enjoyed playing cornhole with the neighbors. Joe was a Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Pirates fan. He enjoyed hunting, traveling and listening to country music.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years: Kim Shaffer; his daughters: Ashley Troutman, Tiffany Shaffer, Cassandra Shaffer, and Brittany Shaffer; and a special granddaughter: Zendaya White. Joe is also survived by his step children: Chris Kaylor, Brandon Livengood and fiancé, Shelley, Casey Livengood, Kasie Riley and husband, Mike, Clayton Livengood and wife, DeAnna, Garet Livengood and wife, Kayla; his brother John and wife, Carolyn; and sisters: Linda and husband, Mike, Cathy and husband, Tim, Paula and husband, Bill, and Jackie; as well as many other special grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Patricia Blubaugh officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
