Juanita Urbas

Juanita Virginia Urbas, 102, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Sterling Care Frostburg Village.
Born January 20, 1923, she was the daughter of Charles and Carrie (Hinebaugh) Madigan. She was the last surviving member of her family.
She was also preceded in death by her husband John Urbas, two sisters, and four brothers.
Juanita was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her son, John Urbas and wife Deborah of Meyersdale, one grandson, and two great- grandchildren.
Family will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a funeral service following with Rev. Eric Gauchat, OFM Cap.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
