Judith Harchelroad

Judith K. (Chanoski) Harchelroad, age 85, of Penn Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at St. Anne Home in Greensburg, PA. She was born in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Sudol) Chanoski.

Judy was a 1958 graduate of Penn Joint High School, a former “Miss Jeannette”, and member of Saint Barbara Catholic Church in Harrison City. Judy had an amazing business career starting at Jeannette Glass and DeRoy Jewelers. She assisted with the business administration of her father’s tavern and Penn Heights mobile home park community. Judy established the well-known "Judy’s Grooming Pet Supplies And Boarding" business, supporting the Penn Township, Jeannette, and Manor communities. Judy always advocated for the love, support, and well-being of all animals.

She is survived by her son, Gene Harchelroad (Susan); daughter, Jessica Thomas (Michael); grandson, Bradley Thomas; sister, Sally Litrun; and nephew, Jamie Litrun. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Gene M. Harchelroad, father of Gene and Jessica; nephew and godson, Shawn Litrun; and brother-in-law, Michael Litrun.

At Judy’s request, there will be no public visitation. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 10 AM until the time of funeral mass at 11 AM at Saint Barbara Catholic Church, 111 Raymaley Road, Harrison City. Interment will be private. The family gives a special thank you to St. Anne Home and Bridges Hospice for the wonderful care given to Judy.
