Judith A. Mertz

Judith A. (Brown) Mertz, 85, of Greensburg, died Saturday, August 5, 2023, in Mountain View Memory Care, Greensburg. She was born June 22, 1938, in Crabtree, daughter of the late Oliver William and Twyla Louise (Wohler) Brown. Prior to retirement she had been employed by The Blindside. She was a member of Harrold Zion Lutheran Church, Greensburg. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Dale L. Mertz; three children, Douglas Lynn Mertz (Stefano Muneroni), Kimberly Ilene Mertz Boyle and Debra Sue Mertz; four grandchildren, Heather Leigh Zimmerman (David Gaito), Arthur John Boyle IV (Karlee Cleary), Chelsea Morgan Boyle Palmer (Eric), and Olivia Lakin-Lee Boyle; six great grandchildren, Miles Finnegan Gaito, Tessa Elizabeth Gaito, Alasdair Lincoln Gaito, Arthur John Boyle V, Aidan Oisin Boyle, and Wesley Adams Palmer. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 Sunday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Additional visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM Monday at Harrold Zion Lutheran Church, 671 Baltzer Meyer Pike, Greensburg, PA 15601 where a funeral service will begin at 11AM with the Rev. Caroline Clifford officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the girls at Mountain View Memory Care and the staff at Bridges Hospice for their care of Judy.
