Judith Vollmerhausen

Dalene Vollmerhausen, 67, of Fort Ashby, formerly of Mexico Farms, MD, passed away on Wednesday, September 16th, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, after three long, courageous battles with cancer.

Born September 5th 1959, in Cumberland Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Dale and Martha Riley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by uncles, Thomas "Tuck" Riley and wife Wanda, Robert "Bobby" Riley and wife Malda, Harry Shryrock and wife Barbara, Luther "Pete" Shryrock and wife Aletha; aunts, Garland Athey, Mary Jane Phillips and husband Norman, and Norma Shryock.

Dalene graduated from Frostburg State University with a Master's Degree in Counseling. She worked for WV Division of Rehab Services. She later retired from Class Glass & Performance in Cumberland, MD. In her spare time, she could be found gardening, spending time with her family, crocheting, and crafting.

Dalene is survived by her husband of 21 years, Robert M. Vollmerhausen Jr.; children, Corey Fair and wife Katlyn, of Short Gap, WV, Robert "Bo" Vollmerhausen III and his significant other Christina, of Ridgecrest, California; grandchildren, Finnley Grace Fair, C.J Vollmerhausen, and Josiah; brother, Dale Riley Jr. and his wife, Jennifer; brothers-in-law, James Vollmerhausen and wife Pam, Charles Vollmerhausen and wife Toni, John Vollmerhausen and wife Cheri; sister-in-law, Mary "Jenny" Vollmerhausen; uncles, Eddie Riley and wife Janet, and William Athey; aunts, Kay Riley and Evelyn Appel; nieces, Phoebe, Erin, Kacey, and Jessie; nephew, Jay; and special friend, Marcia Dawn Orear.

Family and friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A. 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, on Tuesday, September 22nd from 11am to 1pm. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1pm with Pastor Quentin Simpson officiating.

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Corey Fair, Katlyn Fair, Robert "Bo" Vollmerhausen, Dale Riley, Jay Riley, and Jessie Vollmerhausen.
