Juline Miller Kennington

Rock Hill – Mrs. Juline Miller Kennington, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at her home.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Lakewood Baptist Church, with Rev. Jerry Devinney officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park – Hollis Lakes Road. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 19, 2022 from 6:00-7:30 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.

Born in Rock Hill, Juline was the daughter of the late Hazel Stowe Miller and Vernelle Knight Miller. She was a charter member of Lakewood Baptist Church where she served faithfully for many years. Juline retired from Winthrop University where she was employed as a Budget Analyst. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially loved watching all of her grandchildren play ball. She was the widow of William Walter Kennington, to whom she was lovingly married to for 55 years.

Mrs. Kennington is survived by her daughter, Susan Baker (Bobby) of Rock Hill; her son, Steve Kennington (Lynn) of Oak Island, NC; her brother, Ronald Miller (Ollie) of York, SC; two sisters, Linda Munn (Keith) of Rock Hill and Barbara Ford of Gastonia; five grandchildren, Craig Kennington (Taylor), Kerrigan Fite (Justin), Nicholas Baker, Casey Baker and Mallory Kennington and two great-granddaughters, Riley Laine Kennington and Abigail Kennington. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Scott Kennington. Juline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed by all she loved.
