June Mech-Repnik, 99, of Herminie PA passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 6, 1926 in Sucha-Vola, Poland. Daughter of the late Dimitri and Kathryn (Gluchko) Wasylkewycz. She was a 40+ year member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Greensburg, PA. She was a member of the Emerald Card Club, a member of Silver Sneakers, and the Queen of TOPS. She was the owner/operator of “Lovely Lady Beauty Salon” and “Keystone Bar and Grille”, Hermine PA for 20+ years. She also worked as an examiner for the State Board, a welder in the steel mill, and owner operator of a dry cleaning/tailoring business in Pittsburgh, PA. She was a very hard worker; working into her 90’s. June was a very doting grandmother and loved her family immensely. She loved to shop, enjoyed sewing, and enjoyed eating strawberry ice cream every night. She loved to travel and spend time with her family; visiting her daughter in Florida, taking various trips with her, visiting her brothers in Canada and Michigan, Costa Rica with her son and his family, and many other trips. She always said she had a wonderful life growing up. She talked lovingly about being outside with her father taking care of the apiary. She is preceded in death by both parents; her loving husbands Illa Mech and John Repnik; daughter Chrystyna Andreocci, sister Daria Wasylkewycz; and brothers Walter and Zeno Wasylkewycz. She is survived by son, George I. (Vickie) Mech of Youngwood, PA; step-sons, Bob (Sandy) Repnik of Herminie, PA and Kerry (Karen) Repnik of Yukon, PA; grandchildren, Christina (Kenneth) Fox of Hunker, PA and Nicole (J.J.) Hall of Herminie, PA; 3 great grandchildren, Emma Fox and Joshua and Kaylee Hall and son-in-law, Stephen Andreocci of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Friends will be received from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA 15663 – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A panikhida service will be held at 6 pm at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, July 14, 2025 at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 624 E Pittsburgh St, Greensburg, PA 15601, with Fr. Vasyl Banyk officiating. Anyone wishing to attend the mass are asked to go directly to the church. Interment will follow at the Westmoreland County Memorial Park in Greensburg, PA.
