Karen L. Nemit

Karen Lee Nemit, age 68, of Madison passed away on Monday July 3, 2023 in the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Karen was born in Greensburg on August 4, 1954 the daughter of the late William Given and Alma Ruth (Clapper) Grubb. Karen graduated from Norwin High School; she then went back to school to be a dietary specialist. She retired from Baldwin Health Center in West Mifflin as a dietary manager. She was very proud of her work and enjoyed feeding her residents. Karen was a faithful and active member of the Madison United Methodist Church. She was a family-oriented person. She had a deep and enduring love for her husband, children and grandchildren. Her home was always open to welcoming family and friends. Hugging her warmed your heart. Karen and her caring husband George worked together as a team and were each others best friend. Karen is survived by her loving husband George Nemit; her daughters Amy Fahnoe (Richard) and their children Christopher and Alexander Fahnoe, Miranda Clark and her children Abygail and Riley Clark and she is also survived by two sisters and one brother. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the Ott Funeral Home Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin 724-863-8900. Additional viewing will be held on Saturday from 10 AM until 11 AM the time of the funeral service in the Madison United Methodist Church, 254 Main Street, Madison PA 15663, with Pastor Bob Green officiating. Anyone attending the funeral please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Twp.
