Katherine Anita Kreager

May 26, 1924 - December 18, 2021 (Age 97)

K. Anita Kreager, 97 of Norwich, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2021, with her loving family by her side at the Morrison House in Zanesville.

Anita was born in Chandlersville on May 26, 1924. She is the daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Allen) Tom. Anita attended Meredith Business College in Zanesville, and then took on her role as a Dairy Farmer’s wife and as an awesome and hardworking mother to eight children. She worked for several years at Farm Supply and retired from the Accounting Department at NCR in Cambridge. She was a member of the Norwich United Methodist Church, West Union Willing Workers, Muskingum County Homemakers, and the Pleasant Grove Grange. She enjoyed taking care of her garden, canning her vegetables, and also sewing and quilting.

Anita is survived by her eight children, David (Pam Osborne) Kreager of Thornville, Karen (Ed) Boehm of Norwich, Joyce (Joe) Bright of Columbus, NC., Donald (Robyn) Kreager of Zanesville, Jeffrey (Cathie) Kreager of Chandlersville, Kenneth (Cindy) Kreager of Bristolville, Nancy (Dave) Elliott of Concord, NC, and Janet (Joe) Nesselroad of Chandlersville; her twelve grandchildren, Alan (Ashley) Kreager, Katherine Lionetti, Nicholas Kreager, Jordan Kreager, Jessica Drake, Jeremy (Katrina) Kreager, Rachel Kreager, Alicia (Anita Alexander) Elliott, Leticia (Jason) Adams, Hallie Nesselroad (John Ryan Melsheimer), Katie Nesselroad, and Blake Nesselroad; her great grandchildren, Clayton Drake, Carter Drake, Kase Kreager, J.R. Kreager, Greyson Adams, Winston Adams, Emerson Adams, Violet Kreager, and Ethan Kreager.

In addition to her parents, Anita is preceded in death by her husband, Jack M. Kreager who passed away May 11, 2002, and her three siblings, Irene Bethel, Robert Tom, and Verna McBride.

Visitations will be 11 to 1 pm on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord. Funeral services will follow visitations at 1 pm. Rev. Wayne Hogue will officiate the service. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
