Kathryn G. Tadlock
February 14, 1959 - October 30, 2025 (Age 66)
Kathryn Griffin Tadlock, of Indian Trail, NC, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
Kathryn had a deep love for children and dedicated a decade of her life to teaching at Metrolina Christian Academy. She was a cherished and devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a proud grandmother whose warmth touched every generation of her family.
She is survived by her husband, Sammy Wayne Tadlock; and one son, Bernard William Cruse, IV, of Indian Trail. She is also survived by three sisters, Ann Stallings, Dale Helms, and Carol Plowman; and two brothers, Kenneth Griffin and wife, Billy Jean of Indian Trail and Larry Griffin of Monroe. Also left behind to cherish her memory are three grandchildren, Bailey William Cruse, Matthew Logan Cruse, and Alexis Cruse; and 18 nieces and nephews, all of whom adored their "Aunt Tootie" and will forever hold close the memories of her laughter, her playful spirit, and the love she poured into their lives. Known for always laughing and telling jokes, she has a gift for brightening any room and making each of them feel special, valued, and deeply loved.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Griffin, and two brothers, Bill Griffin and Doug Griffin.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Monday, November 3, 2025, at Unity Baptist Church, 2501 Younts Road in Indian Trail, with the funeral service following at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint Hill.
