Mrs. Kathy Whisonant Elkins, 72, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 in Rock Hill, SC.
Born in Charleston, SC, Mrs. Elkins was preceded in death by her parents, Isiah David Whisonant and Evelyn Hood Whisonant and her brother, Roger Wallace. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and a graduate of Rock Hill High School.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Wayne Elkins; sons, James David Elkins (Malkara) and Randy Elkins (Tyhitia) all of Rock Hill; daughter, Valerie Elkins of Rock Hill; brothers, Dale Shelley (Hilda) of Green Sea, SC, Gene P. Wallace, Sr. (Alisha) of Hanahan, SC, Chuck Wallace (Mildred) of Ellenboro, NC; sisters, Jeanne Moore of York, SC, Beckie Bogard (Leonard) of Oak Grove, KY, Anne Wait (Paul) of Hanahan, Lisa Lemacks of North Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Ashley Bouknight, Isiah Elkins and Grace Elkins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 PM Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill. A graveside service will be held 2:00 Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Grandview Memorial Park on South Cherry Road, Rock Hill.
In lieu of flowers the family requests, memorials be made to the National Kidney Foundation of SC, 701 Gervais Street, Ste 150- 195Columbia, SC 29201.
