Keith Swanson

Keith W. Swanson, Sr., 74, of Unity Township, died Friday, April 10, 2026, in AHN West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born July 1, 1951, in Greensburg, a son of the late John and Ruth (Powell) Swanson. Keith was a Marine Corps veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Amvets, Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion, and V.F.W. Keith enjoyed playing bingo, hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacey A. Warren Goodwin. He is survived by his wife, Joan M. (Zello) Swanson; three children, Heather Wise (William “Porky”), Keith W. Swanson, Jr. (Kristin), and Cory Sanner (Clyde); nine grandchildren, Hannah Guy (Travis), Mikayla, Marcus, and Slade Wise, David Warren (Alex), Brittany and Madison Warren, and Jessica and Josh Heide; 11 great grandchildren, Emily and Remington Guy, Ryder Wise, Mia Warren, and Chloe, Isabella, Colton, Kinsleigh, Kaydence, Charles, and Jaylynn; his brother, John Swanson (Bert); his sister, Pam Leone (Jim); and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Monday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral service will begin at 9 AM Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. David Clement officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park with full military honors to be accorded by the VFW Post No. 33, Greensburg Honor Guard.
